Hi there, I am new to the shipstation world and I am looking at my FedEx bill and the prices that shipstation gives me as the total cost does not match up to my FedEx invoice? Is this normal ? Should I be contacting my FedEx rep? Any help is welcome. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for reaching out! Post-billing carriers like FedEx and UPS reserve the right to charge additional fees for any shipment processed through their services. So it's very common to see the rate in ShipStation differ from the invoiced amount from FedEx. FedEx has a list of fees and surcharges published here:

    ShipStation uses FedEx's webservice API to try and get the most accurate rates possible for your account. However, the amounts can only really be considered estimates of the actual invoiced amount because ultimately FedEx (or the carrier) has the final say on any billing of services. We do have a help article here that will help explain some of the common reasons why you would see a discrepancy that I think will help:

    Our rates in shipstation usually match our FedEx rates but on occasion, like today, our rates go over double in Shipstation than what our actual rates are. This happens every few months and resolves itself in a day or two. I believe it is an issue with Shipstations webservice API not working correctly. Just my opinion but it makes it hard to determine the cheapest rate when comparing FedEx with other carriers for the cheapest rates.
